Audio sounds weird/stuttery (Grim Fandango Remastered)

This is usually due to some files being missing from some modern installations of Windows which are required for some older DirectX games. In order to sort this out, there is an installer for these files that you can download from this location:

After doing that, things should sound a lot better!
