COULD IT BE TRUE?

Has Santa come early this year? And does he know how to program? Did he write emulation software that makes Psychonauts run on the XBOX 360???

It says so here, but after waiting for so long, it’s hard for me to believe anything at this point. (Oh, how sad and hurt I sound. Does that make you want to buy Psychonauts out of pity? Because I could do more of that.)

Are the reports true? I DON’T KNOW! Why are you asking me? I am just a lowly game developer! Why should I get official, advanced notice about anything? I know what you know, and probably much less because my reading speed and comprehension aren’t what they used to be. Also, I’m at work right now so I can’t test it out. But I have found out that the fastest way for me to get information is to ask the hyper-intelligent readers of the Double Fine Action News. What can you tell me, gentle web-surfer? Anybody out there know?

If you are home for the holidays, or faking sick to get out of work today, and you have an XBOX 360 could you please find out for us? Just turn it on, get the update, drop in a copy of the Excellent Game Psychonauts and then, like the plastic surgeon said after the nose job, “Let me know if it runs!”

Exciting update: OMFG it’s true! We’re playing it in the office right now! Woo-hoo! :D!

I want to steal a quote back from the Gamespot News post and say thanks to all of the awesome fans who mailed Microsoft on our behalf! It wouldn’t have happened without them! I mean, you!

If you want to ride this wave of love and good feeling further, you can mail the humble Backwards Compatibility Ninjas and say thanks, and that they are awesome, and that you love them. Oh, and mention how good-looking they are. Ninjas are often very self-conscious about their looks, which is why they wear those masks.
